2025-2026 Bishop Family Memorial Scholar Featured in The American Chamber of Commerce in Japan Quarterly Journal

Bridging Scholar Isabella Boulware (AY 2025–2026) is featured in a recent article published in the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ) quarterly journal. The partnership between the Bridging Foundation and ACCJ allows Bishop scholars the opportunity to serve as an intern for ACCJ while in Japan. Isabella is currently working with ACCJ and spoke with about her time so far while abroad.

Isabella shared that “the ACCJ’s mission immediately stood out to me”, and her journey reflects the spirit of opportunity and purpose that the Bridging community strives to cultivate. In her own words:

“I want to share with you one of my favorite Japanese words; ikigai. Ikigai combines your passion, your mission, your profession, and your vocation to create your ‘purpose of life.’ I am constantly moving towards finding my ikigai, and while I may not have found it yet, the U.S.–Japan Bridging Scholarship has certainly set me one foot closer to it.”
