Long-time Bridging Scholars sponsor, Temple University Japan (TUJ), co-hosted a Bridging Scholar event on October 18, 2018 with the Institute of Contemporary Asian Studies (ICAS) at their Tokyo campus. Students, faculty, administrators, and Bridging Foundation board members enjoyed a reception prior to the ICAS presentation "No Nukes for Dinner:  Katsumata Susumu's Anti-Nuclear Manga" led by art historian Dr. Ryan Holmberg (PhD, Yale University; Robert and Lisa Sainsbury Fellow, Sainsbury Institute). Thank you TUJ and ICAS for mentoring the Bridging Scholars and providing them this opportunity to meet, network, and learn beyond the classroom about Japanese language and culture .
