Temple University Japan Hosts Bridging Scholars

Temple University Japan (TUJ) hosted 35 current Bridging Scholars, alumni, supporters from TUJ and the U.S.-Japan Council TOMODACHI Initiative, and USJBF staff on November 9, 2017. Bridging Scholars enjoyed the opportunity to network— receiving mentoring from alumni, supporters, and staff— while meeting one another. Afterwards, everyone stayed to hear a thought provoking talked sponsored by Temple University's Institute of Contemporary Asian Studies. Dr. Hashimoto, a sociologist, presented "Something Dreadful Happened in the Past:  Generational Memory of War and Peace in Japan". Bridging Scholars exchanged contact information so they can continue networking and build community. Thank you Dean Bruce Stronach and Ms. Chie Kato for hosting us!
