Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, Aflac International, Inc.

Andrew J. Conrad first joined Aflac International, Inc. in 2001 and was appointed as senior vice president and general counsel of Aflac Japan in 2012. In September 2016, he took an additional assignment as Aflac Japan’s compliance officer. In July 2025, he was promoted to executive vice president and chief operating officer of Aflac International.

Prior to joining Aflac, he practiced international trade law in Washington, D.C., and worked as an investor relations consultant in Tokyo, Japan. He holds a law degree from Harvard Law School, a master’s degree from the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy at Tufts University and serves on the Boards of Trustees for the RFTC Foundation and the American School in Japan. He has also served on the Board of Governors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan, where he currently serves as Special Advisor.
