Since the first class of 1999, the Bridging Foundation has assisted 1,723 Bridging Scholars to study in Japan. We enjoyed hearing from many of these alumni, who responded to our recent survey.  Bridging Scholar alumni reported that 78% of them have stayed in touch with their host families, friends, and professors in Japan. Also, most of them have pursued careers and advanced education in Japan or related to a Japanese company or other aspect of the U.S.- Japan relationship. Thanks to alumni’s generosity last year, we’re excited to announce that we will soon award the first-ever Bridging Scholar Alumni Scholarship to a student who will study in Japan this spring. This month, we launched a special campaign to sponsor another Bridging Scholar Alumni Scholarship.

We’re grateful that Bridging Scholar alumni continue to invest in the next generation of workforce talent who will strengthen the U.S.- Japan relationship in commerce, government, and civic life. We hope you will join our alumni in supporting this work and invite you to donate to the Bridging Foundation today via our secure, online donation portal.  Thank you.

“My experience abroad was life-changing , and I will never forget the people I met or the things I did during my short time abroad.” – Christopher, one of our Bridging Foundation Scholarship recipients
